REALITY - The Battle between Good & Evil

I. Understanding the Battle
- physical vs spiritual
- secular weapons not powerful enough for spiritual battle
II. Enemy wants to DISARM You
- SIN – Satan’s Influence to create strongholds from within
- influence your thoughts that lead to sinful actions
III. Spiritual Weapons from the Lord
- divine power of God to demolish the ways/works of the devil
- power of confession/repentance allowing God to cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)
- saved/delivered to take dominion in Christ (Vladimir Savchuk)
IV. KEEP SPIRITUALLY ARMED
- be armed and ready for the day of evil: a period of time when intense temptations and/or possible attacks/afflictions come your way
- draw close to God
- wear the full armor of God so you may stand your ground
V. Implication/Application
- In what ways did today’s message challenge you?
- How might the devil be trying to influence your thoughts?
- What are the common areas of temptation? How will you guard the weaknesses of the flesh?
- Where are you unarmed and vulnerable? What steps will you take to be fully armed with God’s armor?
