KEY VERSES: Ephesians 4:25 – 5:2
I. INTRODUCTION
- Do you believe the way you love others, as a Christian who has the Spirit of Christ in you, should look different than how you once loved others without the Spirit of Christ?
II. WORD OF THE LORD – Read the Key Verses
Before you read these verses, pray for the Holy Spirit to help bring wisdom, understanding, and application into your life situation. How is God’s Word in these verses speaking to you (teaching, application, etc)
III. BIBLICAL CONTEXT
- Apostle Paul teaches the Ephesian Christians how to conduct their actions, attitudes, behaviors in their New Life for Jesus that promotes godly love and unity. They are to reject what destroys and embrace what builds up.
IV. APPLICATION – Listening Prayer
“Heavenly Father, through your Holy Spirit, would you make known any unrepentant actions, attitudes, or behaviors, which have grieved my relationship with you and others.” Thank God for His revelation. Take time to confess. Make known your desire to turn from those ways. Thank Him for the relational forgiveness you have in Christ. Pray for the Holy Spirit to help strengthen you in those confessed areas.
