QUESTIONS:

1. What are some diverse views in who Jesus is?

2. What ways do you see people trying to approach God? What is your view in what it takes to talk with God?

READ HEBREWS 1:1-4

3. How does God communicate (or reveal Himself) to us in our day and age?

4. Why is Jesus Christ better than all the previous ways God has communicated to us?

SHARE THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLE(S): The greatest, most precise, most complete way God speaks and communicates Himself to us is "BY HIS SON"; the Son of God, Immanuel (God with us).

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word." Heb.1:3

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him nothing was made that has been made... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-3,14

"'If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?" John 14:7-9

5. What comes to mind when reading the above?

6.Spiritual Reflection: Why might Christians fall away from their faith in Jesus and/or decide to revert back to their old system (ways) of life? How is Jesus more than just a name in your personal faith journey?

7. Spiritual Application: What spiritual disciplines need to be applied (or reapplied) to strengthen your faith-walk with your Supreme Lord & Savior Jesus Christ (scripture reading, attending a study group, prayer, etc.)?

Blessings!
