Our Purpose Statement
"TO MAKE CHRIST KNOWN TO BE KNOWN IN CHRIST"
WHY DO WE, as believers at Barrhead Alliance Church, EXIST? What really is our PURPOSE?
A.B. Simpson once wrote about the need in having a LARGER VISION that takes the very message of heaven into our community fulfilling Christ's purposes in our life and in our work! In Psalm 2:8 we see the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY telling King David to ASK of HIM and He will make the nations his inheritance, the ends of the earth his possession. With this in mind, we have brought forth our ASKING to God: "Almighty God, we desire with all our hearts to make Christ known to this community so that those who don't know you now will be known by you in the future." In short: "To Make Christ Known to be Known in Christ."
* We desire for God to use us, as Christ's ambassadors, in every way that beckons to the lost to come back and be reconciled to their first love, God Himself(2 Cor. 19-20).
* We also desire to rediscover who we truly are in our humanity which is found as we identify ourselves in our abiding relationship with Christ through the personal presence and power of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:22-26; Gal.2:20). It's in Christ we discover a fresh joyful abundant life, holy, set-apart, and pleasing to our Heavenly Father; all which gives Christ the glory!
May our great and gracious LORD GOD ALMIGHTY guide our ministry that uses this PURPOSE STATEMENT to strengthen our SPIRITUAL ONENESS and ENLARGE His territory for His Kingdom purposes!
Our Mission Statement
"Growing in the Word - Healing in Community - Transforming in Christ"
* We believe God has called upon our church to play an important spiritual role within her community. The mission/vision for BAC is to provide sound biblical preaching & teaching from God’s Word (the Bible) that strengthens her faith and generates the healing compassion of Christ bringing forth kingdom transformation into her community. Christ is our Healer!
