QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION
1. What do you think was James and John's motivation in their requests? Do you think Christians are still like James and John today? Provide some examples. (Additional Information: A recent survey illustrates how church members often look out for their own needs and preferences that could be dangerous to the wellbeing of the church. - Your thoughts?)

2. What does Jesus teach His disciples from your readings in Mark?

3. How does Jesus demonstrate His teachings from your readings in John?

4. What does a Servant's Heart look like?

5. How does the enemy of our souls discourage us from serving?

IN CONCLUSION
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." - Philippians 2:1-5

Having a Servant's Heart brings spiritual unity and purpose in Christ.
